windows copying sucks - How to Make the macOS Finder Suck Less

Oct 01, 2017 · I copied a 500MB folder with 78000 files within an ntfs partition using Fedora, and it took 2 minutes. Copying the same folder on Windows 10 takes 15 minutes. Really makes you think, huh? Especially considering ntfs isn't the "one and only" filesystem for linux like it is for windows. SSD btw. and the source of the problem is actually windows. I can't find any redeeming qualities with Windows 10 either, and I really tried. Even if you jump through all the hoops to uninstall all the crap-ware (most of which you need powershell to do so, and then you're still stuck with shit like xbox and Edge) it still sucks and like you said: any update can (and often will) reinstall anything you previously removed.

Aug 27, 2015 · Although Windows 10 is now running on over 75 millions computers around the world, there are a number reasons why you probably shouldn't Reviews: 570.

Jan 03, 2016 · I had this same problem in windows 7 so I went to windows 10 hoping this problem was fixed but no such luck. I am thinking that the slow speed is because windows is updating the file indexing feature (to allow for fast file name searches) during the copy process and slowing everything to a crawl. Jul 29, 2010 · Windows 7 sucks, this isnt the only thing i hate about it. 1- disk drive 2- Compatibility 3- Ram issues 4- icons keep disappearing 5- File copying and cutting takes unusually long 6- Everything.
